OVERVIEW
A New Orleans native, Peter Bowen, is an investor and entrepreneur. His experience in hospitality, travel, and business management has given him an advantage in the corporate world. He is currently employed by Dirks Companies as their Chief Administrative Officer. Bowen was the Deputy Chief Administrative Officer (DCAO) for Land Use and Economic and Workforce Development at New Orleans' Office of Business and External Services (OBES).
History of Work
Before joining the City of New Orleans team, Peter Bowen was the Chief Operating Officer of Calvary Sanitizers. While he was there, Peter was able to get the company up and running in less than a year.
He previously served as the Senior Vice President of Hotel Asset Value Enhancement (HotelAVE) in New York before taking the helm of Sonder. From 2015 until 2016, Bowen served as PostScript Hospitality's Founding Managing Partner. He helped PostScript grow to $8 million in sales and triple the return on investment for clients. As a result of this work, PostScript got big clients like Omni Hotels and Four Seasons.
Prior to that, he worked at J Hospitality & Growth in the development and expansion function. His work included reorganizing 18 separate properties, each with 1,000 employees and an annual budget of $20 million.
For the past two years, Peter Bowen has served as Sonder Inc.'s general manager.
